Welcome
On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, it is our privilege and pleasure to invite you to Interregional Meeting of the Italian Chemical Society – Section Toscana, Umbria, Marche and Abruzzo (TUMA 2023), which will be held on June 22-23, 2023 in Francavilla al Mare (Chieti). The congress aims to bring together young researchers, post-docs and Phd students and give the opportunity to illustrate their work in in different areas of chemistry, favouring a professional and cultural exchange and growth. The program will include an Opening Lecture, Keynote Lectures, as well as Oral Communications and Poster Presentations. Participation of young researchers will be strongly facilitated by low registration fee and fair lodging possibility. Great opportunities to meet colleagues in informal discussions will be made easy by an appealing location.

All presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint (file extension .pptx, slide format preferentially in 16:9) and delivered in Italian language, while the slides can be prepared in English. Speakers are encouraged to send their slides by e-mail to fepifano@unich.it not later than June 10th 2023. If the number of oral communications requested exceeds the number of available slots, the Scientific Committee will accept a selected number as flash communications

POSTER GUIDELINES
The maximum allowed poster size is: 80 cm wide and 110 cm high, in portrait format (no landscape). A poster number will be assigned to each abstract and will be announced to the presenter by email before the beginning of the Meeting. Poster presenters are responsible for setting up and removing the posters

Participants to TUMA 2023 are kindly invited to submit manuscripts based on presentation(s) at the conference (even if not mandatory) for possible publication (open access) in Heliyon (https://www.cell.com/heliyon/home) [IF = 3.77, Q1, Multidisciplinary, Scopus] with the intention of publishing in a Special Issue that is dedicated to this meeting.
Please see below the main steps and features of the publication process:
1) all papers will go through normal peer review process per journal standard;
2) papers will be published as soon as they are accepted in earliest available regular journal volumes, which ensures very fast publication speed for individual authors;
3) papers will be subjected to the payment of the APC before publication. For total or partial APC waivers Authors are kindly requested to contact the Editorial Office of the journal
